Rebar anchors are made of steel. Rebar is commonly used to reinforce concrete or cement structures. Real Steel offers rebar anchors that are 1/2"x32", which are used to provide strength and stability to custom metal structures.
Mobile home anchors, or auger anchors, are used to keep structures secure to dirt or soil foundations. When installing a custom built carport, you don't need to have a foundation poured, but you need a level installation site. The auger style helps the anchor stay secure to the ground and prevents the custom carport from moving.
Concrete is a sturdy substance; Real Steel will use anchors that will adhere your structure to this solid surface. The installation team will use a masonry drill bit to drill holes in the concrete. Unlike working asphalt, while working with concrete it is better to use concrete expansion anchors. At Real Steel we use concrete wedge anchors for installation on concrete slabs. We also offer different length anchors depending on the dimensions of the foundation poured for your new custom metal carport.
Asphalt anchors are built to hold fast to asphalt. As the material is likely to fracture if direct pressure is applied as it is in expansion anchors, the asphalt anchors either have a screw like thread or have barbs on the shaft to keep the anchor secure.
